5.2 Register description
5.2.1 Status registers
[0x00-0x01] - DeviceH and DeviceL
These registers provide read only information to identify the sensor type that has been coded as a
12-bit number and a 4-bit mask set revision identifier. The device identification number for VV6501
is 501 equivalent to 0001 1111 0101
2
. The initial mask revision identifier is 0 equivalent to 0000
2
.
[0x02] - Status0
Table 10: [0x00] - DeviceH
Bits Function Default Comment
[7:0] Device type identifier 0x1F Most significant 8 bits of the 12 bit code
identifying the chip type.
Table 11: [0x01] - DeviceL
Bits Function Default Comment
[7:4] Device type identifier 0x5 Least significant 4 bits of the 12 bit code
identifying the chip type.
