18 Writing the analog values over the
PDI channel
PDI = Parameters, Diagnostics and Information
To set the temperature of the external cold junction via the
PDI channel rather than in the process data, you must
change the exclusive right first.
To do this, proceed as follows:
• Write the ASCII string "Superuser" to the "Password"
(001D

) object.
• Write the value 01

to the “Request exclusive write ac-
cess” object (0027

).
You may now write to the "Output process data" (0026

)
object.
