A6269 LED Driver

Allegro MicroSystems' A6269 is a linear, programmable-current regulator providing up to 200 mA from each of two outputs to drive arrays of high brightness LEDs. A single reference resistor sets the regulated LED current from each output. Current matching in each string is achieved without the need of ballast resistors. Dual control pins are available for both switch (ON/OFF) and master control (ON/OFF/DIM UP/DIM/DOWN) signals. A temperature monitor is included to reduce the LED drive current if the chip temperature exceeds an adjustable thermal threshold. The device is provided in a thermally efficient eSOIC-8 package with exposed pad.

This device is an extension of the automotive-qualified LED driver family (A626x) and is targeted for automotive map and dome lighting applications, in addition to glove box, vanity mirror, trunk, door, and other accent lighting.
