MaxLinear's XRP2523 is a single-channel, integrated high-side power distribution switch optimized for self- or bus- powered USB applications and compliant with the latest USB 3.0 specification. It accepts an input voltage between 3.2 V and 6.5 V, allowing for operations from industry standard 3.3 V and 5 V power rails.

The XRP2523 includes an enable pin with integrated soft-start, while an error flag is available to indicate any fault conditions. With a low quiescent current, as well as a small package, the XRP2523 is ideal for battery powered applications. The power-switch rise and fall times are controlled to minimize current surges during turn on/off.
