MAX6126 Voltage Reference and MAXREFDES5 AFE

The Maxim Integrated MAX6126 is an ultra-low-noise, high-precision, low-dropout voltage reference. This family of voltage references features curvature-correction circuitry and high-stability, laser-trimmed, thin-film resistors that result in 3 ppm/°C (max) temperature coefficients and an excellent ±0.02% (max) initial accuracy. The proprietary low-noise reference architecture produces a low flicker noise of 1.3 µVP-P and wideband noise as low as 60 nV/√Hz (2.048 V output) without the increased supply current usually found in low-noise references.

The Maxim Integrated Santa Fe (MAXREFDES5#) subsystem reference design is a 16-bit, high-accuracy, industrial analog front-end (AFE) that accepts -10 V to +10 V, 0 to 10 V, and 4 to 20 mA current-loop signals with isolated power and data integrated into a small form-factor. The Santa Fe design integrates low-noise, high-impedance analog buffers (MAX9632); a highly-accurate ADC with innovative on-chip attenuation (MAX1301); an ultra-high precision 4.096 V voltage reference (MAX6126); 600 VRMS data isolation (MAX14850); and isolated/regulated +12 V, -12 V, and 5 V power rails (MAX256/MAX1659).
