Digi International is pleased to announce the general availability of XBee S2D ZigBee modules. These modules have all the proven benefits of Digi’s market-leading ZigBee PRO solution, while adding a larger memory capacity for customers who want the versatility to upgrade to thread protocol.

The XBee modules can be configured easily using Digi’s free XCTU software or via Digi’s simplified AT or API command sets. They are pre-certified for use in multiple countries and include integrated antennas, removing the burden of RF development and support costs as well as enabling fast time-to-market for OEM designs.

Digi International also offers its XBee ZigBee mesh kit which is a great way to learn how to use XBee RF modules for device connectivity and ZigBee-based mesh networking. Starting with simple examples, they provide step-by-step guidance as the users assemble the kit components to create reliable, low-power device communications and sensor networks.

Mesh networking is a powerful way to route data.
