ADI’s SDR solutions provide a radio platform for today and for the future by combining a radio frequency (RF)-to-baseband transceiver PHY and a digital processor. SDR provide shorter design cycles by using a universal or common platform and making adjustments to the software as needed. There are four main devices that at are the keys to SDR:  AD9361, AD9364, AD9371, and AD9680.

Two members of the RF Agile Transceiver™ family (AD9361 and AD9364) are designed for high performance use in 3G and 4G base station applications. The AD9361’s transmitter LO operates from 47 MHz to 6 GHz range and the receiver LO operates from 70 MHz to 6.0 GHz covering most licensed and unlicensed bands. The AD9364 is a 1 x 1 channel programmable transceiver that operates in the 70 MHz to 6.0 GHz range. Both devices offer high performance, high programmability, and an RF front end that simplifes the design process by providing a configurable digital interface to a processor. These devices come in a 144-CSP_BGA package with an operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C.

The AD9371 is a wideband (300 MHz to 6 GHz) RF transceiver offering dual-channel transmitters and receivers, integrated synthesizers, and digital signal processing functions. This device delivers high performance and versatility in a 196-CSP_BGA that has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The AD9680 is a dual-channel, 14-bit, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with 1.65 W total power per channel at 1 GSPS. This device has several functions that simplify the automatic gain control (AGC) function in the communications receiver. The AD9680 comes in a 64-lead LFCSP and has temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
