ZigBee® PRO Platform

Microchip Technology has released the industry’s first ZigBee alliance certified ZigBee platform with ZigBee PRO and green power features, formerly known as ZigBee 3.0. With greater interoperability and lower latency than ever before, this software stack and corresponding BitCloud 4.0 software development kit is ideal for the design of home automation, commercial lighting, smart energy, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

ZigBee (ZigBee PRO 2015 feature set and green power) is the latest standard release by the ZigBee alliance. The BitCloud® software development kit (SDK) coupled with the SAMR 21 Xplained pro evaluation kit TSAMR21-XPRO and the SAM R21 ZigBee light link evaluation kit ATSAMR21ZLL-EK is a complete platform that allows developers to quickly design products meeting the latest ZigBee alliance requirements.

The BitCloud SDK is a full-featured, production grade, embedded software development platform that provides a framework with reference applications and libraries for creating ZigBee compliant products. In addition to full ZigBee Pro, green power, base device behavior (BDB), and ZigBee lighting and occupancy (ZLO) support, the SDK also provides several ZigBee application device types for home automation, lighting, and control. This platform enables scalable and secure wireless solutions that support large mesh networks of hundreds of devices and is optimized for ultra-low power consumption.
