The MikroElektronika MIKROE-950 digital-to-analog converter (DAC) click board™ is an accessory board in mikroBUS™ form factor. It includes a 12-bit DAC MCP4921 that features an optional, two times buffered output and SPI interface. The Microchip MCP4921 device on the board provides very-high accuracy, low noise performance, and is suitable for consumer and industrial applications, such as set point control, offset adjustment, and sensor calibration applications. The board is set to use a 3.3 V power supply by default. Solder PWR SEL SMD jumper to 5 V position if used with 5 V systems.
The MIKROE-1918 DAC 2 click board utilizes the Linear Tech LTC2601CDD DAC, a 16-bit DAC, along with voltage output screw terminals. The click board communicates with the target MCU through the mikroBUS SPI interface with clock rates up to 50 MHz. Additionally, the CLR pin, in place of the default mikroBUS RST pin, clears all the registers. The board uses either a 3.3 V or 5 V power supply. The reference voltage can be set to either VCC or 4.096 V. The LTC2601 is a 16-bit, rail-to-rail voltage output DAC in a very-small (3 mm x 3 mm), 10-lead QFN package. This DAC has a wide analog and digital voltage supply range from 2.5 V to 5.5 V. The LTC2601 use a serial peripheral (SPI) / MICROWIRE compatible, 3-wire serial interface. Daisy-chain capability, hardware CLR, and asynchronous DAC update (LDAC) pins are included as well as incorporating a power-on reset circuit. The LTC2601CDD is ideal for mobile communications, industrial automation and instrumentation, and test equipment.
