By Würth Elektronik 54
Wurth Electronics offers not only the high-power infrared LEDs in ceramic packaging 3535, but also the low-power THT with 3 mm and 5 mm packaging.
Infrared LEDs
The high-power series has the industrial standard footprint and can be driven up to 1 A. The ceramic packaging helps to reduce the thermal resistance. With the wide viewing angle of 90° and 130°, it is ideal for night vision or security camera illumination, machine vision, and gesture recognition systems.
The classic and robust THT packaging is designed with narrow viewing angle of 35°, perfect for remote controlling, distance measurement, and sensors. Two different wavelengths of 850 nm and 940 nm are also available.

Ultraviolet LEDs
A new addition in the Wurth Electronics LED portfolio are the high power ultraviolet LEDs. The UV LEDs are offered in a standard 3535 package with low thermal resistivity, but high intensity output and three different wavelengths – 385 nm, 395 nm, and 405 nm. They are the ideal choice for UV systems for curing, printing, and adhesive coating. It is a perfect exchange for old Hg lamps with the advantages like faster turn-on time, higher power output, and longer lifetime. In addition, the LEDs can be used for special lighting, counterfeit detection systems, and security forensics tools.
