MGA-31xxx High Gain Driver Amplifiers

Broadcom's MGA-311xx high gain MMIC driver amplifiers offer excellent uniformity in product specification in a SOT-89 standard package. These devices use Broadcom's proprietary 0.25 µm GaAs enhancement mode PHEMT process.

MGA-31189 and MGA-31289

MGA-31189 and MGA-31289 are 0.25 W high gain MMIC driver amplifiers with good gain flatness. The devices feature high linearity performance, excellent input and output return loss, and low noise figure. They are easily matched to obtain optimum power and linearity. The MGA-31189 is externally tunable to operate within 50 MHz to 2 GHz frequency range applications, while the MGA-31289 is tunable to operate within 1.5 GHz to 3 GHz frequency range applications. With high IP3, low noise figure, and wideband operation, both can be utilized as a driver amplifiers in the transmit chain and as a second stage LNA in the receive chain.

MGA-31389

The MGA-31389 device features flat high gain with excellent input and output return loss, as well as superior linearity performance. The device can be easily matched to obtain desired performance. It is especially ideal for 50 Ω wireless infrastructure application within the 50 MHz to 2 GHz frequency range applications. With high IP3 and low noise figure and wideband operation, the MGA-31389 may be utilized as a driver amplifier in the transmit chain and as a second stage LNA in the receiver chain.

MGA-31589 and MGA-31689

The MGA-31589 and MGA-31689 are 0.5 W high gain, high-performance MMIC driver amplifiers. They require simple matching components to achieve optimum performance within a specific 100 MHz to 200 MHz bandwidth. The MGA-31589 is ideal for wireless infrastructure applications that operate within the 450 MHz to 1.5 GHz frequency range; the MGA-31689 is ideal for wireless infrastructure applications that operate within the 1.5 GHz to 3 GHz frequency range. With high IP3 and low noise figure, these devices may be utilized as a driver amplifiers in the transmit chain and as second or third stage LNA in the receive chain.
