PmodTMP2™: Temperature Sensor

Digilent PmodTMP2, powered by the Analog Devices® ADT7420, is a temperature sensor module allowing users to detect ambient temperature ranges from -40°C to +150°C with a ±0.25°C accuracy. The 16-bit ADC in the sensor digitizes the temperature to 0.0078°C resolution. The PmodTMP2 is easy to use since it requires no calibration or correction from the user. Users can communicate the PmodTMP2 with any system or development board through the standard I2C protocol.

ADI's ADT7420 is a 16-bit digital I2C temperature sensor in a small 4 mm x 4 mm 16-pin LFCSP package. This ADC feature rich with one-shot mode, output switch, programmable limit, programmable resolution and shutdown mode. The device can operate from a wide voltage range from 2.7 V to 5.5 V with low current consumption of 210 µA at 3.3 V. The ADT7420 is ideal for industrial test and control, medical, and environmental monitoring applications.
