WE-KI HC Series SMD High-Current Wirewound Ceramic

High-frequency applications call for coils with high quality factor. In contrast to normal ceramics, Wurth Electronics' WE-KI HC series features a quality factor, up to 40% higher and a self-resonant frequency up to 16 GHz. Another highlight of this series is the doubled rated current compared to similar products and a 60% reduced DC resistance. This product series is ideally suited for high frequency applications in telecommunications and for use with higher currents. The series comprises two packages: 0402 and 0603.

The WE-KI HC series have a non-magnetic conductive ceramic core causes no core losses and enables a high Q-factor. There is an epoxy cap that protects the wires and allows pick-and-place process. The component also features a larger wire diameter which allows higher currents. The WK-KI HC series has the same package and solder pad compatibility as the WE-KI series.
