ADI's ADM3101 is a 3.3 V single (1 TX and 1 RX) RS-232 transceiver with ±15 kVs of electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. This transceiver meets EIA/TIA-232E specifications for RS-232 devices and can operate at data rates if 460 kbps. The device is ideal for electrically harsh environments of plugged/unplugged and hotswap actions. Voltage input is at 3.3 V with four external 0.1 µF change pump capacitors supporting this device. This transceiver comes in LFCSP/QSOP packages which have temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The ADM3101 is perfect for general purpose RS232 communications, telecom, and test/measurement communication applications.
