Diodes' AL8822 and AL8823 are a boost converter and a controller that deliver accurate constant current for MR16 and similar LED lamps. They are compatible with many commonly used electronic transformers and provide designs with high power factor (PF) and low total harmonic distortion (THD). Both are compatible with leading-edge and trailing-edge triac dimmers.
