CoolSET™ PWM Flyback Controller with Integrated MO

Infineon's CoolSET family integrates the latest 700 V and 800 V CoolMOS™ P7 family with Infineon's latest controller in one single package. This family eliminates the need for heatsinks and will reduce the BOM count with a smaller footprint. It is available in through-hole and surface mount packages.

With a patent pending novel quasi-resonant implementation, an intelligent adaptive digital algorithm has enabled the PWM controller to minimize the spread of switching frequency under different AC line input conditions. This innovative approach will allow SMPS designers to design with higher switching frequency to take advantage of smaller magnetics and lowering of system BOM cost.
