The AVX MM series is a multi-layer ceramic capacitor designed for use in medical applications other than implantable/life support. These components have the design and change control expected for medical devices and also offers enhanced lot acceptance testing (LAT) including reliability testing and 100% inspection.
The MM series is designed for non-critical medical applications:
- Non-implantable non-life support medical devices; for example, patient monitoring, diagnostic equipment
- Non-implantable life support medical devices with no defined usage limit; for example, heart pumps
- Implantable non-life support medical devices intended to be operable for less than one year; for example, cardiac monitors
