ACNU-3430/3410 Optocouplers

Broadcom's ACNU-3410 (3 A) and ACNU-3430 (5 A) are gate drive optocoupler devices in the 11 mm SSO-8 package designed for high voltage, space constrained industrial applications including 600 VAC motor drives and 1 kVDC solar inverters. The new package platform features wide 11 mm creepage and 10.5 mm clearance, high insulation voltage, and a compact package footprint providing enhanced high voltage protection and signal isolation in tight spaces.

The ACNU-3410 and ACNU-3430 are an upgrade to and 40% smaller than to the popular HCNW/ACNW in 400 mil DIP-8 package. They feature common mode transient immunity (CMTI) greater than 100 kV/µs, preventing erroneous gate driver failures in noisy environments. Furthermore, the new device has minimal propagation delay, three times faster than the previous generation, enabling high frequency switching to improve efficiency in driving IGBT and SiC/GaN MOSFET.
