Wurth Electronics' WE-ACHC high current air coil features flat wire for high frequency applications. The WE-ACHC is available in two sizes, 1010 and 1212, with an IR up to 40 A and has up to 50% higher Q-factor than other products. The coil label enables pick-and-place assembly.
The WE-CAIR air coil inductors are characterized by very high quality factors and are also in the low-frequency range (Q greater than 100). The resonance frequency is very high. The air coil inductors also guarantee a greater rated current compared to other RF inductors. In addition, the WE-CAIR have a high-temperature stability. They are available in the following sizes: 1322, 3136, 1340, 4248, and 3168.
WE-CAIR’s design sizes 1322 and 1340 are one-third flatter than the other size of products. The 1322 type has a 20% higher rated current with the conventional ceramic coils in the 0805 chip format. Its high Q-factor remains stable even in the high MHz range thus enabling these extremely flat air coils to be used over a broad spectrum of frequencies.
Thanks to the air coil, the inductance can be kept constant all the way into the GHz range; meaning these air coils are predestined for use in radio-engineering applications. A compact design combined with a high Q-factor and a high-rated current enables use in HF front-ends of all kinds and for the adjustments of the impedance of antennas for diverse frequency bands.
