The YSTBS5D5E10 board from Renesas is a development tool that allows users to evaluate the Synergy platform using a device from the S5D5 group of Synergy MCUs. It provides an inexpensive entry point to evaluation, prototyping, and developing for the Synergy family of MCUs. This target board showcases the Synergy S5D5 group of MCUs using an LQFP-144 package. It is supported by the e2 studio ISDE from Renesas as well as the IAR Embedded Workbench® for Renesas Synergy. The S5D5 group, Renesas’ eighth group of Synergy MCUs, increases the Synergy platform’s scalability with six new software-compatible MCUs. Each MCU delivers cost-effective performance, a large SRAM-to-Flash memory ratio, and robust security features to address IoT applications. The S5D5 MCUs include a 120 MHz ARM® Cortex®-M4 CPU core, 512 KB or 1 MB on-chip Flash memory, 384 KB of SRAM, precision analog acquisition functions, Ethernet interface, and high-speed USB. Specialized on-chip security features include the ability to generate and safely store private keys using symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, a true random number generator (TRNG), and special memory protection functions.
