Engineers are faced with the challenge of greater power requirements with less PCB footprint space. Molex's mega-fit slim vertical headers solve this issue by providing a smaller footprint version. In the past, header packaging options have been limited to much lower or higher-amperage connectors in this footprint size with limited plating options. The mega-fit connectors, packaged in a feature-rich, reliable power system, provide more power per linear- and square-millimeter than other mid-range power connectors in the currently in the industry.

Like its siblings, these headers deliver 23.0 A per circuit and 600 V maximum while offering unique keying options to ensure proper mating during termination. The dual row, through hole connectors with a black housing are glow wire capable. The products come with with tin (76829 series), or 15 Au and 30 Au gold (172065 series) plating options. Headers are available in 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 circuits. They are halogen-free and RoHS compliant.
