EMI Embossed Copper Shielding Foil Tape 1245

3M’s embossed copper foil shielding tape 1245 has a 1.4 mil embossed copper foil backing with acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and liner. Embossing makes excellent contact through the adhesive. The unplated copper is for non-corrosive conditions.

3M EMI shielding tapes are designed for applications requiring reliable point-to-point electrical contact, particularly EMI/RFI shielding, grounding, and static charge draining. The tapes are easily die-cut and have a multitude of uses in electrical design and test laboratories for prototyping, design, and troubleshooting. The 1245 is a conductive-through-adhesive.

The backings of 3M shielding tapes 1245 (copper) are impressed with an embossed pattern (click Figure 2 below) that protrudes through the acrylic adhesive to make direct electrical contact with the application surface. This reliable “through-the-adhesive” conductivity system provides stable contact resistance and a high level of shielding effectiveness. It is offered in many lengths, widths, shapes, and die cut sizes.

3M custom-cut products match 3M technologies to project requirements with the exact form, fit, and functionality needed. Whether laminating adhesives to substrates, precision or die cutting, slitting, or spooling and level winding, 3M custom-cut products are engineered to meet customers' precise specifications and manufacturing needs.
