T523 Series Polymer Electrolytic Capacitors

KEMET's organic capacitors (KO-CAP®) are a solid electrolytic capacitor with a conductive polymer cathode capable of delivering very low ESR and improved capacitive retention at high frequencies. KO-CAP combine the low ESR of multilayer ceramic, the high capacitance of aluminum electrolytic, and the volumetric efficiency of tantalum into a single surface-mount package. Unlike liquid electrolyte-based capacitors, KO-CAP have a very long operational life and high ripple current capability.

Features and Benefits
  • Highest capacitance (or energy) per unit volume
  • Low profile (1.2 mm to 2.0 mm)
  • Low ESR / high ripple current handling
  • High frequency capacitance retention
  • Stable capacitance across temperature and voltage
  • 100% accelerated steady-state aging
  • 100% surge current testing
  • Halogen-free epoxy/RoHS compliant
Applications
  • DC/DC converters
  • Audio/sound circuits (mobile phone, base stations, smart phones, MP3)
  • Portable electronics (notebook PCs, displays, solid state drives, hard disk drives, USBs, digital cameras), GPS navigation, Wi-Fi modules)
  • Telecommunication equipment (routers, switches, servers)
