Stackpole Electronics' HCSM is a high-power shunt resistor in a small surface mount package size that offers a 5 W power rating in a compact 2818 case size. Stackpole’s materials, design, and processing allow the HCSM2818 to operate at full-rated power up to +100°C.

This series has excellent environmental and electrical stability demonstrated by the low resistance shifts with respect to load life and biased humidity testing among others.
