Schaffner's IF 13 series power cords support compliance with the EMC limits in the late development stage without introducing any changes to the design of a user's product. These cords feature cord-integrated filters that do not add to a design in terms of weight or internal housing space.

The IF 13 series either acts as an EMC lifeline in the test lab or as a high-frequency filter for demanding applications. The attenuation performance is very high in upper-frequency ranges due to the cable technology that is used. The cord acts as HF-impedance that covers all phases and the earth at once, based on ferrite-coated cables.

This series consists of different cable types, different plugs, and single- or dual-stage filters. The single-stage filters are an invisible filtering solution that is completely integrated into the power plug. The inline-cord filter provides a solution for when a high-performance, dual-stage filter is required but there is no room available within the product under test. No additional space is required at the cable input or output. The stripped-end version offers an ultra-flexible solution to add any country-related plug.
