VLS-AF Series Power Inductors

TDK's VLS-AF series inductors were designed for use in Class-D amplifiers of AI, Bluetooth®, television speakers, and more. These wire wound power inductors are magnetically shielded with a ferrite core and are compatible with high-density mounting. The design of the VLS-AF series inductors is based on TDK's VLS-EX series coils, but with an optimized total harmonic distortion and noise (THD+N) characteristic. Voice distortion in audio lines is generally expressed as a numeric value represented by THD+N. This is a ratio representing the share of harmonic distortion and other noise components in the source signal component and the lower the number, the better the sound quality.

VLS-AF inductors are offered in a 6.0 mm x 6.0 mm x 4.5 mm (LxWxH) package with inductances ranging from 3.3 µH to 100 µH. These inductors feature low DC resistance of up to 0.527 Ω max, with a rated current of up to 5.0 A. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C (including self-temperature rise).
