STMicro's ESDA24P140-1U3M is aimed at protecting USB charging circuits to improve the robustness and lifetime of devices. It can absorb up to 140 A peak pulse current, always keeping the clamping voltage versus operational voltage ratio below 2. A 20 V power line will never face more than 35 V over-voltage during transient events (IEC61000-4-2 ESD and IEC-61000-4-5 surges), and the ESDA24P140-1U3M saves space on the PCB so that more functionalities or miniaturization can be integrated into a device. Housed in 2.0 mm x 2.0 mm package, the maximum thickness of 0.6 mm is ideal for flat devices.
