TCXO, VCTCXO, and DCTCXO Oscillators

SiTime’s wide variety of temperature controlled oscillators (TXCOs), voltage-controlled oscillators (VCTXOs), and digitally-controlled oscillators (DCTCXOs) are designed for networking and telecom applications. This classification of products is focused on high-end precision MHz super-TCXOs. This product family is designed to provide the best dynamic performance under changing conditions such as rapid temperature ramps, high airflow, shock and vibration, and EMI. This class of products is based on SiTime’s Elite Platform™ which includes GR-1244 Stratum 3 oscillators and differential oscillators that support LVDS and LVPECL outputs.

These devices can be programmed to any combination of frequency, stability, voltage, and pull range within the families’ wide range, eliminating the long lead-times and customization costs associated with quartz TCXOs and OCXOs. By leveraging SiTime's unique DualMEMS temperature sensing and TurboCompensation technology, the Elite Platform delivers the most stable timing in the presence of environmental stressors; air flow, temperature perturbation, vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference (EMI). These devices also integrate multiple on-chip regulators, providing power supply noise filtering and eliminating the need for a dedicated external LDO. The Elite Platform of oscillators can be factory-programmed to any combination of frequency, stability, voltage, and pull range. This programmability enables designers to optimize the clock configuration while eliminating the long lead time and customization cost associated with quartz TCXOs where each frequency is custom built.
