TDK’s TFM-ALD thin-film power inductors, featuring a metal core, are magnetically shielded and designed for use in power circuits of small mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet terminals. The high functionality of these devices increases their power consumption. Improvement of the power conversion efficiency in power circuits is essential for meeting market demands.

The TRM-ALD series features improved DCR and DC superposition compared with conventional products. DCR is reduced by 5.5% compared and contributes to the improvement of power conversion efficiency of power circuits at high loads. DC superposition characteristics are also improved and raise the rated current by 4%. Leakage flux is minimized by using a closed magnetic circuit structure. TFM-ALD inductors have excellent mounting stability characteristics and can be mounted to general-purpose land patterns.
