Molex's compact MultiCat mid-power connectors with precision-machined contacts can be mated quickly and ensure superior durability and proper connection via connector position assurance (CPA), making them effective in multiple industry categories. These lightweight and compact wire-to-wire and wire-to-board (vertical only) connectors accommodate between 20 AWG and 28 AWG wire. The MultiCat mid-power connectors offer design flexibility for applications requiring midrange power and they help to mitigate space and weight constraints. The 2-piece hermaphroditic backshell secures the cable and provides strain relief. The backshell's 2-piece design allows easy access to actuate the CPA and locking mechanism without removing the backshells for quick mating and unmating. Mid-power current provides 6.5 A per contact and has at least 500 mating cycles.
