E2E NEXT Inductive Proximity Sensors

Omron’s E2E NEXT sensors are designed to meet a myriad of sensing needs with 1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x sensing distances across all standard cylindrical proximity sensor sizes. The enhanced sensing range allows the sensors to be mounted further away from the intended target. Increased sensing distance reduces the risk of the damage to the sensor face caused by target impact, the most common cause of failures, thus increasing its useful life. E2E NEXT’s enhanced sensing distances also facilitate the use of smaller form factor sensors in space-limited applications solving previously unsolvable problems. In addition to the product family’s long-distance sensing capabilities, the sensors have a high degree of environmental protection with IP67, IP69K, and IP67G ratings which ensure that the sensors will continue to function in environments with dust, water, and oil. Omron has gone above and beyond the IP67G rating to subject its sensors to even more rigorous oil immersion tests to make sure failures due to oil ingress are avoided. PNP versions of E2E NEXT sensors also feature IO-Link technology to enable intelligence at the sensor level, providing users with real-time output monitoring and location data. With its extended range, environmental protection, and IO-Link capabilities, the E2E NEXT family of proximity sensors can address a whole host of different application needs.
